The Sapphire Law

Jewish rabbis believe God printed the Ten Commandments he gave Moses on sapphire stone. The reason behind this is because in Ex. Ch. 24, at the commencement and institution service of the Old Testament Law, the clergy men saw God on a sapphire stone throne. And it makes sense that God’s throne and his law would be made of the same type of stone. Also in the Book of Numbers the “blue” ribbons were a picture of God’s commandments. (see Num. 15:37-41) And yes sapphire is a BLUE stone. And in Proverbs 17:8 “A gift is as a precious stone”. Well, President Abraham Lincoln said the Holy Bible (or the Law of God) was God’s greatest “gift” to mankind. And this “gift” is a like a “precious stone” viz. sapphire stone. Sapphire is also one of the hardest and most durable of stones and it aligns with the concept of God’s word being eternal. It also explains why it endured from at least the time of Moses to Solomon (1 Kings 8:9).
