The Mystery of Nimrod

By Prophet Jacob R. Blandford

There are 18 types of the Antichrist (1 John 2:18) in the Bible. But the most prominent Antichrist in the Bible is by far the mighty hunter Nimrod. He appears in Genesis 10* as a highly prominent heathen leader. He even built the first one-world government at the tower of Babel in the land of Shinar (Genesis 10–11). This satanic government is the beginning of the Babylonian mystery religion of Queen Semiramis and her son Tammuz** (Ezek. 8:14). Satan knew enough about the Gospel from Genesis 3:15 to produce his own perverted counterfeit religion to oppose God Almighty. After this attempt failed when God confused their languages: God then called Abram and began his plan of redemption through the Israelites; and eventually Jesus Christ. And thank God he did. But this mystery religion survived and took on many different faces and names over the centuries. And somehow or another Satan managed to hijack the apostate Christian church (viz. The RCC) and continue his pagan religion through her (see Rev. 17 & 18). The Catholic church is of course the ROMAN Catholic church and it is a necessary part of the Gentile kingdoms in the history of the world (see Daniel 2, 7, & 8). The RCC mixes Christian theology with paganism and the mysteries of Babylon. This is how Nimrod has survived to this day. It is actually, what I believe, to be "the mystery of iniquity" Apostle Paul wrote of in 2 Thessalonians 2:7 (KJV). When the “Assyrian”, (who is also portrayed as the Antichrist in Isaiah 10*** & 14), appears in Micah 5—so we also see mentioned “the land of Nimrod”. This antichrist spirit (see 1 John 4:1-3) has been working in our world since the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The purpose of the antichrist spirit is to hunt down men and women—blinding them from seeing Christ; denying his Lordship and existence. So like Nimrod of old, the antichrist spirit is the mighty hunter.
